Leading engineering firm is looking to add a field based Testing and Commissioning Specialist to the growng team. This field role is precision-driven to ensure the safety and reliability of high-voltage infrastructure leading on the ground for commissioning, maintaining, and troubleshooting the sophisticated systems that protect the power grid. responsibilities:
- System Commissioning: Lead the installation, commissioning, and functional testing of protection and control systems for HV transmission lines, transformers, and busbars.
- Relay Programming: Configure and maintain SEL and GE microprocessor relays (including 400 and 700 series) to ensure precise grid protection and fault analysis.
- SCADA & Automation: Execute RTU and telecom upgrades using GE, SEL, and Novatech processors to optimize remote monitoring and data integration.
- Technical Troubleshooting: Interpret one-line and schematic diagrams to identify design discrepancies and ensure wiring accuracy across substation equipment.
- Regulatory Compliance: Generate and submit precise technical test reports to meet client specifications and NERC/FERC regulatory requirements.
