A Technician is needed for a world class utility company in the Benton Harbor, MI area. This role involves performing technical structural analysis on utility poles using DDS software to support grid modernization, ensuring design accuracy and project deadlines are met through cross-functional collaboration.

responsibilities:
- Analyzes distribution utility poles using DDS software for grid modernization and line rebuilds.
- Tracks project due dates and manages timelines for assigned distribution projects.
- Collaborates with design teams, project managers, and line coordinators to ensure high-quality designs.
- Performs cost-effective technical work utilizing knowledge of utility equipment, materials, and systems.
- Provides training and guidance to team members where beneficial.
- Develops and adjusts work plans based on specific time constraints and project needs.
- Proactively seeks technical information to increase job skills and industry knowledge.
- Networks with peers to encourage cooperation and support corporate goals.
- Satisfies internal and external customer needs through efficient decision-making.
- Associate Degree in Electrical/Electronic/Civil/ Mechanical Engineering Technology or related fields plus 2 years of related utility industry work experience or
- A High school diploma or equivalent and 4 years of related utility industry work experience.
