A Quality Engineering Specialist is needed for a global, research-driven pharmaceutical company focused on improving human and animal health in the Athens, GA area. This role is focused on ensuring regulatory compliance, validation, and change control for manufacturing upgrades and capital projects within the biological or vaccine industry.

responsibilities:
- Provides quality assurance and technical guidance for production and site capital (CAPEX) projects.
- Serves as the Quality Lead for operational excellence (OPEX) initiatives and facility/utility upgrades.
- Manages change controls, project documentation, and compliance requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
- Acts as a technical resource on cross-functional teams for technology transfers and deviations.
- Resolves quality-related issues and validation discrepancies during project execution.
- Experience with advanced problem-solving, project coordination, and steering a quality culture to deliver expected deliverables.
- Experience using quality systems and with extensive change control, discrepancy management, and equipment validation.
- Requires knowledge of vaccine products or biological manufacturing processes.
- Project experience supporting commissioning of new facilities/infrastructure and utilities is a plus.
