An Equipment Qualification Technician is needed for a manufacturing company considered one of the world's leading innovators in materials science in the Newton, NC area. This role focuses on the validation, calibration, and troubleshooting of manufacturing equipment to ensure full compliance with ISO and GMP standards.

responsibilities:
- Perform Installation Qualification (IQ), Operational Qualification (OQ), and Performance Qualification (PQ) protocols for all site equipment.
- Ensure all machinery and processes comply with FDA, ISO, and GMP regulatory standards.
- Document and report qualification results, including any deviations and required corrective actions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during the installation and setup of new equipment.
- Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) in collaboration with subject matter experts to solve complex failures.
- Apply process improvement methodologies including FMEA, Six Sigma, DOE, DMAIC, and Fishbone Diagrams.
- Learn equipment setup from operators and act as a trainer for other staff members.
- Execute regular equipment testing and calibration to maintain functional accuracy.
- Prepare detailed compliance reports and maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities.
- Assist with external audits and internal inspections to verify regulatory adherence.
- Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to ensure long-term equipment reliability.
- Stay current on industry advancements and regulatory changes to implement best practices.
- Knowledge of equipment qualification protocols (IQ, OQ, PQ).
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO, OSHA)
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools and calibration equipment.
- Industrial equipment operation and troubleshooting.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, or a related technical field.
- 1-3 years of experience in equipment qualification or a related role.
- Relevant certifications may be considered.
