A Quality Assistant is needed for a leader in power and automation technologies in the Florence, SC area. A Quality technician who uses precision measurement tools and Root Cause Analysis knowledge to inspect products and maintain strict document control.

responsibilities:
- Provides general assistance to quality operations and document control by following clearly prescribed practices.
- Operates specialized quality instruments including calipers, hardness testers, and thickness testers.
- Maintains and updates critical department files, including contract data, drawings, and quality standards.
- Reviews processes and plans under specific direction to ensure conformance to quality requirements.
- Performs basic mathematical calculations and utilizes simple measurement equipment for product evaluation.
- Conducts quality data entry and performs physical inspections throughout the manufacturing process.
- Identifies and refers complex issues or questionable situations to senior staff or supervisors.
- Investigates quality activities and contributes to Root Cause Analysis (RCA) within an industrial setting.
- Assists in presenting findings and data to more experienced staff for further analysis.
- Ensures document control integrity by managing technical reference files and quality records.
- Must have 2 years industry experience.
- Candidates should have experience with: Calipers, hardness tester, measurement tape, thickness tester.
- Absolute must haves for success in this role are: experience doing inspections, RCA knowledge in industrial industry.
