An Associate Engineering Technician is needed for a leading global engineering, consulting and construction company in the Chattanooga, TN area. This position requires two to three years of experience and intermediate proficiency in digital design tools like CAD and BIM to develop technical documentation, apply quality control standards, and coordinate deliverables for engineering teams.

responsibilities:
- Supports engineering teams by performing technical tasks that require an intermediate understanding of engineering principles.
- Operates under general supervision while maintaining a focus on project objectives.
- Utilizes digital tools and design software such as CAD, BIM, and 3D modeling to create and maintain documentation.
- Manages technical drawings and various project deliverables through digital applications.
- Provides technical guidance and mentorship to less experienced engineering technicians.
- Remains current on standards, systems, document control, and departmental guides.
- Adheres to company policies and procedures throughout the project lifecycle.
- Applies knowledge of the quality program to ensure all deliverables are accurate and compliant.
- Demonstrates personal accuracy while supporting continuous improvement and change management efforts.
- Evaluates and improves methods and procedures used to accomplish technical tasks.
- Creates and develops deliverables based on a variety of specific design inputs.
- Performs basic computations including material quantity estimates and dimensional checks.
- Coordinates deliverables with other project groups to minimize interference or errors.
- Identifies the needs of internal clients while gaining an understanding of external client drivers.
- Seeks and shares knowledge regarding the latest industry technologies and processes.
