A Procurement Manager is needed for an American multinational home appliances corporation in the Athens, GA area. This role leads the strategic sourcing and operational execution of new product launches, managing supplier performance, multi-million dollar spend, and long-term contracts to ensure supply chain reliability and cost efficiency.

responsibilities:
- Oversees the execution of procurement processes, standards, and operational plans to meet organizational goals.
- Leads New Product Introductions (NPI) for both OEM and Aftermarket sectors in collaboration with business units.
- Manages total supplier performance, with direct accountability for On-Time Delivery (OTD) and quality metrics.
- Evaluates, qualifies, and approves new suppliers to ensure a robust and reliable supply base.
- Analyzes market price trends and manufacturing changes to proactively adjust procurement strategies.
- Controls departmental spend and fosters a corporate culture centered on long-term cost savings.
- Resolves critical customer issues and manages supply chain disruptions, including shortages and late deliveries.
- Authorizes purchase orders, negotiates pricing, and approves payments to maintain smooth operations.
- Develops and executes Request for Proposals (RFPs), bid packages, and Long-Term Agreements (LTAs).
- Handles supplier financial relationships, including invoicing disputes and the negotiation of payment terms.
- Conducts strategic sourcing activities to establish secondary supply sources and support product development.
- Audits contract performance to ensure full compliance and identify necessary contractual amendments.
- Experience using supply chain management software and tools, including JDE, Oracle, SAP, etc.
- In-depth knowledge of preparing and reviewing contracts, invoicing, and negotiation terms.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access).
- Multi-tasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Highly organized, result driven and detail-oriented.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or Business.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in Procurement, Sourcing, Purchasing and / or Supply Chain Management.
- Preferred Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or Business.
- Preferred 7-10 years of progressive experience in Procurement, Sourcing, Purchasing and / or Supply Chain Management.
