An Associate Engineering Technician is needed for a leading global engineering, consulting and construction company in the Tualatin, OR area. This position with at least 2 years of experience and a drafting diploma, will use basic Civil 3D and MicroStation skills to develop plan and profile deliverables for underground transmission projects while ensuring quality compliance and cross-functional coordination.

responsibilities:
- Performs technical tasks requiring intermediate knowledge of engineering principles to create and modify project deliverables.
- Develops detailed plan and profile deliverables specifically for underground transmission line projects.
- Utilizes Autodesk Civil 3D and Bentley MicroStation for drafting and 3D modeling tasks.
- Manages core Civil 3D functions including alignments, plan/profile views, and cross-sections.
- Maintains, updates, and organizes technical documentation and project drawings within CAD and BIM environments.
- Provides initial-level technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineering technicians.
- Ensures all work aligns with company standards, document control practices, and specific departmental guides.
- Executes the company Quality Program to maintain high accuracy and regulatory compliance in all outputs.
- Performs basic engineering computations, such as dimensional checks and material quantity estimations.
- Coordinates with various project groups to identify and minimize design interferences or errors.
- Evaluates and suggests improvements for internal methods, processes, and design procedures.
- Autodesk Civil 3D and/or Bentley MicroStation
- Development of plan and profile deliverables using Autodesk Civil 3D
- Basic Civil 3D experience with knowledge of alignments, plan/profile, and sections.
- Diploma or Certificate required.
- Associate Degree in Drafting or an Engineering Design Related Technology preferred.
- Typically a minimum of 2 years related work experience.
