Senior Mechanical Technician needed for immediate 2nd shift direct hire opportunity just north of Boston, MA. The right person will perform a variety of tasks supporting preventive maintenance for a variety of packaging and processing equipment. This person will have working knowledge of processing equipment in a similar environment along with the ability to perform all work with the utmost professionalism and quality.
This is a great opportunity for this person to prove their PM, diagnostic and repair skills on processing and packaging equipment for an 'around the clock' manufacturing plant.
The right fit for this role will be a person that shows exceptional communication skills along with the ability to thrive in a team environment. Other technical skills include working knowledge of hand tools, ability to utilize software programs for the create and completion of work orders, and building maintenance systems

responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and repair any issues relating to processing and packaging equipment.
- Ensure plant compliance to safety and 5s program
- Ensure that all lines are changed over and ready for startup.
- Perform scheduled PM on manufacturing equipment .
- Support management teams to ensure proper compliance .
- Must have 3+ years related plant experience
- Working knowledge of processing equipment and general troubleshooting and repair
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair components with packaging machinery
- Must have exceptional communication skills with the ability to thrive in a team environment.
- Proven computer skills including the use of MS Word, Outlook, Excel and scheduling tools.
