Large utility company is looking for a Production Supervisor in West MI area. This role is responsible for the safe and reliable operation of a generation facility, requiring a Bachelor's Degree and 2-4 years of relevant experience, along with broad knowledge in leadership, communication, and power plant operations to effectively supervise teams and manage daily activities. This is a contract position estimated to last 12 months, possible extension, possible temp to perm.

responsibilities:
- Supervise bargaining unit employees and contractors in the safe, reliable operation and maintenance of power generation equipment.
- Coordinate daily production activities, set team priorities, and ensure task completion according to business plan objectives.
- Lead and participate in operating reviews and Lean problem-solving events to identify waste elimination and cost-saving opportunities.
- Act as the first line of troubleshooting for equipment malfunctions and coordinate with Maintenance to address system deficiencies.
- Administer the Union Contract, company policies, and safety procedures to ensure labor compliance and workplace safety.
- Manage administrative duties including timesheet approvals, on-call resource scheduling, and progress reporting.
- Oversee the acquisition, inspection, and distribution of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for the team.
- Provide active coaching, technical instruction, and development for employees, especially during hazardous or complex work evolutions.
- Utilize enterprise software systems to maintain reports on job orders, work status, and facility enhancements.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with support groups to manage work priorities and execute operational evolutions.
