In this role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end production of machined parts, from studying blueprints and planning material stock to complex setup and G&M code programming. We are looking for a machining expert who brings:
Lathe Operation Mastery: Proven experience in the setup and operation of CNC lathes, with a preference for candidates familiar with Tsugami or similar high-precision equipment.
G&M Code Programming: Ability to program lathes by entering instructions, including zero/reference points and offsets, while proving out part programs.
Technical Mathematical Proficiency: Ability to calculate requirements using basic math, geometry, and trigonometry to ensure perfect part execution.
Advanced Tooling Setup: Expert skills in installing and adjusting chucks, tools, collets, bushings, cams, and stock pushers for various production runs.
Quality & Maintenance Focus: A dedicated approach to troubleshooting processes, maintaining equipment through preventive maintenance, and following strict quality assurance procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
Blueprint-to-Part Planning: Study work orders and blueprints to determine material requirements and plan the most efficient machining sequence.
Machine Setup & Loading: Install and adjust all necessary hardware, including chucks and collets, and load material stock to prepare the machine for production.
Programming & Verification: Enter programming instructions and verify settings by measuring first-run parts and sample pieces to ensure 100% accuracy.
Process Monitoring & Adjustment: Maintain specifications by observing cutting, drilling, grooving, and thread chasing operations, adjusting machine offsets as needed.
Technical Troubleshooting: Identify malfunctions, sharpen or replace worn tools, and perform preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and ensure machine longevity.
