An Electrical Engineer is needed for a world class utility company in the Tulsa, OK area. This role will lead NERC FAC-008 compliance and configuration management for transmission assets to verify equipment ratings, manage as-built documentation, and perform rigorous QA/QC to ensure the power grid's physical infrastructure aligns with regulatory data.

responsibilities:
- Create and manage Verifact packages for NERC FAC-008 compliance, performing full desktop reviews and issuing data for field verification.
- Resolve technical rejections and discrepancies found during the field verification process promptly.
- Execute both preliminary and final QA/QC to ensure all engineering data meets strict quality and acceptance criteria.
- Develop a comprehensive configuration management program to track as-built transmission assets and system changes.
- Implement robust document control, versioning, and change-management practices for technical assets.
- Prioritize and allocate engineering resources to balance urgent operational needs with long-term strategic goals.
- Lead risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for proposed configuration changes.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to align engineering practices with business objectives.
- Investigate process failures using root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Use computer-assisted engineering and design software to apply electrical engineering principles to grid assignments.
- Ensure all work complies with NERC standards and internal technical specifications.
- Has typically acquired 2 or more years of related engineering experience along with a Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering in a program accredited by ABET.
- Individuals with a Master's or Doctorate degree in engineering may be considered for entry into the organization at this level.
- ABET - Engineering Accreditation Commission of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology.
- A Bachelor's degree in engineering (non-ABET), plus a Professional Engineers (PE) license in any state of the U.S. or
- A Bachelor's degree in engineering (non-ABET) plus a Master's degree in engineering from a university with an ABET accredited Bachelor's program.
