A Senior Pipe Stress Engineer is needed for a global engineering, construction and project management company in the Richland, WA area. This role is focused on managing design teams, performing advanced pipe stress analysis (ASME B31.3), and ensuring technical compliance for complex industrial projects from estimation through construction.

responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise a team of PD&P designers and drafters.
- Plan and develop complex piping and plant engineering systems.
- Verify equipment nozzle loads and piping qualifications per ASME B31.3 standards.
- Produce and review detailed 2D and 3D CAD design models and construction drawings.
- Design diverse infrastructure including drainage, earthwork, roads, foundations, and steel detailing.
- Prepare and oversee design estimates, work plans, schedules, and budgets.
- Review and approve technical calculations, material requisitions, and bid evaluations.
- Coordinate with clients and lead technical discussions to resolve complex engineering issues.
- Monitor all work for strict compliance with safety codes, industry standards, and regulations.
- Facilitate constructability reviews to ensure design economy and operational safety.
- Interface across disciplines with engineers, scientists, and specialists to ensure project integration.
Education and Experience:
- Requires Bachelor's degree in engineering (or international equivalent) and 5-8 years of relevant experience or 9-12 years of relevant work experience or
- Requires Bachelor's degree in engineering (or international equivalent) and 8-10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience.
