The Highway Heavy, Civil Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurateand competitive cost estimates for a variety of heavy civil construction projects including highways, bridges, utility installations, and earthwork. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of construction means and methods, solid analytical skills, and experience with estimating software and construction drawings.

responsibilities:
- Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive cost estimates.
- Quantify materials, labor, and equipment needed for project execution.
- Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes.
- Develop detailed scopes of work and pricing breakdowns.
- Participate in project bid reviews and pre-bid meetings.
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, and field staff to ensure estimates are accurate and executable.
- Maintain historical cost data and assist in developing company unit pricing.
- Identify and assess potential project risks and opportunities.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as an estimator in highway heavy or civil construction.
- Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry standards.
- Proficiency with estimating software such as Vista/Trimble, HCSS HeavyBid, Bluebeam, or similar tools.
- Ability to read and interpret civil engineering drawings and specifications.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills.
- Mathematical and analytical abilities.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred, but not required based onexperience.
