Local manufacturer in the Rome, NY geography is seeking a Capital Equipment Sales Representative to add to their team. The ideal candidate will have previous outside sales experience selling capital equipment in the Agriculture indusry - base salary 50K plus commission. Degree preferred but not required. Excellent benefits include medical, dental, 401K with company match and PTO. This is a field based role with a company vehicle.
All candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.

responsibilities:
- Follow up on all sales leads and sell capital sales projects with little or no supervision
- Maintain an organized inventory on-site as well as within the company's SAP accounting system
- Drive the sale of capital projects within the assigned region
- Enter sales leads into CRM and follow up as needed
- Communicate installation of equipment sold to the install team
- Collect progress and or final payments for all sales
- Maintain all incoming and outgoing inventory accurately
- Process all returns and warranty claims
- A high school degree with two (2) or more years in a sales capacity within the agricultural industry.
- Previous capital equipment sales experience
- Willingness to travel to customer locations across geography, Adams, Potsdam, Argyle and Ithaca
- Excellent communication and organization skills
