An Ergonomics Analyst is needed for an American corporation that manufactures agricultural, construction, and forestry machinery, diesel engines, drivetrains (axles, transmissions, gearboxes) used in heavy equipment, and lawn care equipment in the Waterloo, IA area. This role focuses on improving manufacturing safety and ergonomics by spending the majority of the time on the shop floor conducting risk assessments, auditing compliance, and training staff to prevent workplace injuries.

responsibilities:
- Support production teams by identifying and correcting potential safety hazards and unsafe actions to eliminate injuries.
- Evaluate workstations, tooling, and products for safety, efficiency, and ergonomic improvements.
- Conduct audits to verify compliance with regulatory agency requirements and internal company policies.
- Document and report workplace incidents according to injury and illness reporting standards.
- Develop and deliver safety presentations and training sessions for employees and supervisors.
- Analyze EHS functional reporting metrics to identify and implement opportunities for improvement.
- Review new equipment, products, and processes for hazards before they are introduced to the facility.
- Provide wellness consulting and support work-hardening initiatives for manufacturing staff.
- Collaborate with safety equipment suppliers to source and implement appropriate protective solutions.
- strong problem-solving and team collaboration skills are essential.
- Engineering mindset and ability to connect and communicate well with diverse groups of people.
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word & Excel required).
- Bachelor's degree preferred in Engineering, Manufacturing, Safety, Ergonomics, or Kinesiology.
- Candidates without a degree should have 5+ years of manufacturing experience.
