A Facilities Process Chemical Engineer is needed for an engineering consulting company in the Boise, ID area. This role involves designing and engineering complex process infrastructure such as chemical and gas distribution systems to support tool installation and facility upgrades within advanced semiconductor manufacturing environments.

responsibilities:
- Develop technical designs and layouts for piping, equipment, and complex manufacturing tools in high-density industrial environments.
- Produce detailed construction documents for tool installations, facility upgrades, and tenant improvements.
- Perform engineering calculations for equipment sizing, component selection, and technical specifications.
- Design and oversee specialized facilities systems including ultrapure water, chemical distribution, gas distribution, and process piping.
- Manage infrastructure for exhaust, plumbing, waste drains, pumps, and tank storage systems.
- Retrofit existing building systems to accommodate new manufacturing equipment and factory integration.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and stakeholders to establish design requirements and project deliverables.
- Provide technical oversight and construction support for water, wastewater, and process chemical systems.
- Prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment to meet research, development, and manufacturing milestones.
- Utilize AutoCAD software to create precise engineering drawings and layouts.
- Ensure compliance with engineering standards for chemical and mechanical facilities.
- Proficient working knowledge of AutoCAD software.

- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering from ABET Accredited University.
- At least 1 year of practical application of chemical/mechanical facilities engineering, including ultrapure water, chemical distribution, gas distribution, process piping, exhaust, plumbing, waste drains, pumps, tank storage/design and related chemical/mechanical facilities systems.
- At least 1 year of design project delivery processes experience.
- At least 1 year of experience working with complex semiconductor manufacturing tools, either their manufacture, installation, or use in cleanrooms.
- 1 year field experience.
