A Mechanical Construction Coordinator is needed for a leading manufacturing organization. The Mechanical Construction Coordinator is responsible to support the mechanical aspects of a major new building project. You will be responsible for overseeing the installation, commissioning, and startup of complex facility systems, including HVAC and industrial cooling. Your primary goal is to ensure all mechanical systems are delivered on schedule and in full compliance with project specifications.
Candidates must have a minimum of 5+ years of experience in industrial or manufacturing construction. You must hold an OSHA 30 certification and demonstrate expert knowledge of mechanical building codes such as ASHRAE and ASME and safety procedures like Lock-Out/Tag-Out. Computer proficiency and the ability to interpret complex engineering drawings and submittals are essential for success in this role. Candidates can expect up to 40% travel.

responsibilities:
- Facilitate mechanical building system startups and oversee commissioning activities to ensure operational readiness
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert in reviewing equipment submittals, shop drawings, and contractor-generated RFIs
- Manage equipment delivery, factory testing, and installation schedules with vendors and external contractors
- Conduct continuous work progress inspections to confirm adherence to quality standards and project milestones
- Coordinate weekend and shutdown work plans between contractors, plant facilities, and manufacturing shops
- Prepare field engineering status reports for Project Managers while ensuring all work meets prevailing building codes and safety regulations
