Large utility is looking for an Utility Inspector in Royal Oak, MI. This position requires a High School Diploma and OQ Certification to conduct statewide natural gas leak surveys using sensitive detection equipment, requiring strong communication skills and the ability to accurately document abnormal operating conditions. responsibilities:
- Perform leak surveys utilizing sensitive detection equipment.
- Identify and document abnormal operating conditions (AOCs) and hazardous leaks.
- Patrol and inspect client infrastructure to ensure long-term public safety.
- Maintain accurate documentation and report all findings to the utility operator.
- Provide professional customer service when interacting with the public regarding utility concerns.
- Maintain Operator Qualification (OQ) certifications to meet regulatory standards.
- Must be self-motivated.
- Have strong communication skills and pay attention to details.
