A Mechanical Project Lead is needed for a manufacturing company considered one of the world's leading innovators in materials science in the Newton, NC area. This is a project-focused engineering role requiring 5+ years of experience to independently manage equipment installations, vendor relations, and technical troubleshooting from quotation to final implementation.

responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day oversight of engineering projects with a focus on equipment and production line installations.
- Solicit and evaluate vendor quotations to ensure project alignment with budgetary and technical requirements.
- Supervise third-party contractors and vendors during the physical installation process.
- Select appropriate industrial equipment and coordinate its integration into existing systems.
- Track and manage drawing redline revisions to maintain accurate engineering documentation.
- Troubleshoot complex issues arising during the installation and commissioning phases.
- Apply standard engineering and scientific theories to develop imaginative and practicable technical solutions.
- Work independently under minimal direction to determine and develop strategic approaches to project goals.
- Serve as a primary organizational representative in frequent contacts with external stakeholders.
- Foster strong working relationships across different departments and external work groups.
- Experience with Project Management (preferably installations).
- Interacting with vendors/contractors.
- Organization Skills.
- Understanding and application of standard engineering or scientific theories, concepts, principles, and techniques.
- BS preferred.
- 5+ Years of experience.
