A Manufacturing Engineer is needed for a world leading manufacturer of construction and mining equipment, diesel and natural gas engines, industrial gas turbines and diesel-electric locomotives in the Lafayette, IN area. This role is responsible for GD&T analysis, and supplier data collaboration to ensure the quality and precision of machined aerospace or engine components.

responsibilities:
- Translate 3D engineering models and blueprints into complex CMM programs for purchased finished goods.
- Create, debug, and maintain CMM checks to support production, receiving inspection, APQP/PPAP, and warranty claims.
- Program at a Level 3 PCDMIS capability specifically for machined engine components.
- Collaborate with external suppliers to align and validate CMM data within PCDMIS.
- Serve as a technical resource for Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) across the organization.
- Provide technical support for mobile arm measurement systems and shop floor metrology.
- Perform data collection and analysis to support NCI and NSI projects.
- Resolve daily technical issues related to measurement software, CMM hardware, and product inspections.
- Edit existing PCDMIS programs to reflect engineering changes or process improvements.
- Coordinate with Quality, Engineering, and Operations teams to resolve line failures and quality issues.
- Maintain rigorous record-keeping and documentation for all measurement programs and results.
- Drive departmental excellence through continuous improvement of metrology processes.
- PCDMIS programming at advanced level- proficient level 3 Hexagon trained.
- Data Analysis.

- Bachelor's with 4 years of experience.
- Associate's with equivalent experience accepted.
