A R&D Engineer is needed for an American multinational consumer goods corporation that produces many popular Beauty, Home Care, and Family care brands in the Cincinnati, OH area. This role is focused on the end-to-end development of liquid products from raw material formulation and surfactant chemistry to regulatory compliance and large-scale production oversight.

responsibilities:
- Collaborate with business management, marketing, and R&D teams to conceptualize and develop new product ideas.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to evaluate product functions and industry trends.
- Assess product feasibility in partnership with engineering and marketing departments.
- Redesign existing products to improve functionality, enhance performance, or reduce manufacturing costs.
- Develop comprehensive design projects and detailed technical specification sheets.
- Present product designs and technical progress to management and key stakeholders.
- Oversee the engineering and assembly of product prototypes.
- Test prototypes for functional performance, user experience, and long-term durability.
- Identify and resolve complex product issues through root-cause analysis.
- Manage the raw material formulation process, specifically utilizing surfactant chemistry.
- Ensure all designs and processes comply with emissions mitigation standards and regulatory permitting.
- Provide technical legal support and oversight for product documentation.
- Supervise the production process to ensure successful transition from R&D to the plant floor.
