A Senior Mechanical Designer is needed for an engineering consulting company in the Boise, iD area. This position will lead the design and field verification of complex chemical and mechanical piping systems using Revit and AutoCAD, bridging the gap between engineering theory and on-site construction.

responsibilities:
- Coordinate with project engineers, construction trades, and cross-functional teams to align designs with project objectives.
- Generate comprehensive 2D and Revit drawing packages following strict site design standards.
- Draft and update chemical/mechanical plans, including piping layouts, equipment schedules, and P&IDs.
- Design detailed piping routes, instrument locations, and valve placements.
- Create flow diagrams for HVAC, hydronics, fire protection, and gas/water-side systems.
- Develop isometric views and custom installation details for complex system components.
- Conduct on-site field walks, measurements, and punch-list inspections to verify as-built conditions.
- Manage drawing control, vendor submittals, and design reviews for engineered systems like tanks and vessels.
- Lead and mentor junior staff while providing work estimates and task breakdowns for leadership.
- Ensure all designs comply with industry codes, standards, and project specifications.
- Utilize Navisworks for extensive model reviews and clash detection.
- Extensive modeling and drafting experience utilizing Revit and AutoCAD.
- Extensive model review experience utilizing Navisworks.
- Ability to perform as a major program wet side or dry side lead designer.
- Performs and participates in code review and discussion.
