Our client is a well known automotive manufacturer in KY and they are seeking an Equipment Engineer to come on contract for 6 months! This role supports the development, installation, and confirmation of Battery Pack Assembly equipment across global and North American production sites
A Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering is required, along with at least 2 years of experience with Production Equipment, procurement, installation, and/or confirmation. Candidates must also have at least 0.5 years of experience with 2D and 3D CAD software (AutoCAD/Autodesk and CATIA or equivalent), proficiency with MS365, and the ability and willingness to travel 50%, both domestically and internationally.

responsibilities:
- Support and/or lead the development, installation, and confirmation of Battery Pack Assembly equipment, working with site and global teams.
- Develop and document equipment specifications for vendors.
- Monitor and track equipment design, fabrication, and confirmation progress.
- Lead installation planning, setup, and confirmation at North American Production Sites.
- Support and lead equipment-related problem-solving (countermeasures) during trials.
- Engage in significant domestic and international travel (U.S., Canada, Mexico, Japan) and be available for overtime, including weekends and holidays.
