Mechanical technician needed for immediate TEMP opportunity in the Woburn, MA area with expertise in mechanical part inspection for machined parts in a busy manufacturing environment.
The right person for this role will have experience using various mechanical inspection tools, such as micrometers, calipers, pin gauges, thread gauges, height gauges, CMM, and an eye for details. This person will perform visual and dimensional inspections on manufactured parts, assemblies, and / or sub-assemblies to engineering drawings, customer purchase order(s), industry standards, and specifications.

responsibilities:
- Perform visual and dimensional inspections on manufactured parts, assemblies, and / or sub-assemblies
- Inspect and measure parts to engineering drawings, customer purchase order(s), industry standards, and specifications
- Report inspection accept / reject information directly to internal system and staff
- Must 5 years practical experience performing in-process and final inspections on complex machined parts, assemblies, and / or sub-assemblies.
- The candidate must have experience using various mechanical inspection tools, such as micrometers, calipers, pin gauges, thread gauges height gauges, CMM, etc...
- The inspections will be performed to engineering requirements specified per ANSI Y14.5 - Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T) or equivalent standard.
- Must have the ability to read / interpret engineering drawings and Purchase Orders
