An energy technology company is hiring a Mechanical Engineer to lead structural analysis and new nuclear plant projects.This role requires a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering and proven experience in mechanical design to develop safety-related enclosures for nuclear power plants using AutoCAD and Inventor. This is a 12 months contract.

responsibilities:
- Design and implement mechanical supporting structures, chassis, and cabinets to house safety-related I&C electronic hardware for nuclear power plants.
- Develop mechanical systems and components that adhere to strict performance standards and safety regulations within the nuclear industry.
- Utilize engineering software tools including AutoCAD, Inventor, and MATLAB for detailed design, modeling, and technical analysis.
- Perform analysis and testing to verify that mechanical systems meet rigorous environmental and operational requirements.
- Prepare comprehensive engineering documentation, including design specifications, technical reports, and operations manuals.
- Provide maintenance support and troubleshooting for mechanical issues to ensure continuous system reliability and efficiency.
- Ensure all mechanical designs and physical installations comply with relevant nuclear codes, industry standards, and regulatory mandates.
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including electrical hardware designers, civil engineers, and qualification testing groups.
- 3D Cad Modeling.
- Experience with coding conventions, unit testing and integration testing of control cabinets and chassis.
- Bachelor's Degree in mechanical, electrical, or related engineering degree from an accredited college of university.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in field.
