A large food manufacturer is seeking a Director of Production Engineering onsite in the Greater Norfolk, VA area. We're looking for someone with proven leadership, mulit-million dollar CAPEX management, Ammonia Refrigeration, Infrastructure, and AutoCAD. Must have prior experience in engineering and food manufacturing with at least 5 years of leadership.

responsibilities:
- Analyzes data and creates strategic initiatives to boost efficiency, eliminate waste, and optimize production.
- Directs engineering resources to drive strategic initiatives, resolve complex challenges, and ensure top-tier execution in everything from maintenance to capital budget management.
- Provides direction on processes, schedules, and priorities for engineering teams.
- Develops and enforces best practices for engineering developments, complying with engineering standards and regulations.
- May travel to plants throughout the U.S. up to 50%.
