A Material Coordinator is needed for an American corporation that manufactures agricultural, construction, and forestry machinery, diesel engines, drivetrains (axles, transmissions, gearboxes) used in heavy equipment, and lawn care equipment in the Grovetown, GA area. This role will manage point-of-use material delivery, resolve supply shortages using SAP and root cause analysis, and collaborate across functional teams to support production schedules.

responsibilities:
- Coordinate the delivery of materials directly to the point of use on the production floor.
- Communicate part availability issues and resolution strategies to operations and key stakeholders.
- Utilize SAP transactions to manage and support all aspects of the material delivery process.
- Monitor and resolve critical shortage reports to ensure continuous part availability.
- Collaborate with operations, engineering, and supply management to perform root cause analysis on inventory discrepancies and consumption issues.
- Manage COGI (Post-deduct errors) and reporting issues to maintain inventory accuracy.
- Implement outputs from the engineering release and change management processes.
- Support continuous improvement (CI) initiatives and shop floor productivity goals.
- Handle multiple projects or tasks simultaneously through proven organizational skills.
- Apply knowledge of Kanban and other lean material delivery methods.
- Lead meetings and present data/analytics to various functional groups.
- Proven organizational experience handling multiple projects or tasks.
- Demonstrated ability to build working relationships with an emphasis on effective written and verbal communication.
- Effective documentation, planning and decision-making skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Engineering/Technology, Supply Management, or a related field, and/or
- At least 3 years of relevant work experience.
