Our client in Chesapeake, VA is seeking an experienced Estimator to support industrial piping and welding projects. This role focuses on developing accurate material and labor cost estimates based on detailed CAD drawings and project specifications. The ideal candidate combines technical knowledge of industrial piping systems with business acumen to produce competitive, accurate bids.

responsibilities:
- Review RFPs, drawings, and specifications to define project scope and requirements
- Perform detailed takeoffs and cost estimates for industrial piping systems (materials, labor, equipment)
- Develop complete bid packages, including pricing for travel, per diem, and contingencies
- Collaborate with engineering, project management, and operations teams to validate assumptions and pricing
- Utilize Bluebeam, Procore, and CAD-based documents to produce accurate, competitive estimates
- Minimum 5+ years of industrial estimating experience focused on piping systems (stainless steel, PVC, copper, etc.)
- Proficiency with Bluebeam and Procore
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and CAD documents
- Solid understanding of labor productivity, installation methods, and material pricing
