Our client is seeking a HVAC Test and Validation Engineer to come on board and join the growing team in FL. In this role you will be responsible for establishing test plans, validating HVAC units, supporting simulation models, managing ECRs and procurement, and overseeing the development and testing of geothermal and water source heat pumps for regulatory compliance and product quality.
Required:
Bachelors degree in Engineering (Mechanical preferred) and a minimum of 3 years of working with HVAC( testing and troubleshooting units). Experience with risk assesment tools(FMEA, DRBFM), creating test reports and certification/standards knowledge!

responsibilities:
- Test and Validate HVAC Units: Establish validation test plans, perform lab tests, and ensure reliability and compliance with specifications (UL & AHRI).
- Support Simulation Modeling: Provide inputs for building IPM and FARR simulation models for both new and legacy products.
- Manage Change and Procurement: Raise and track Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) and create component specifications for resourcing and procurement.
- Oversee Product Development: Manage product development tasks, including testing, assembly, and manufacturing.
- Resolve Technical Issues: Take ownership of technical problems and promptly address or escalate issues as needed.
- Documentation and Reporting: Test prototypes, write development test reports, and document results according to company standards.
- Regulatory Compliance: Apply UL & AHRI regulatory knowledge to product testing and specifications.
- Team Collaboration: Act as a team player, supporting cross-functional teams (Engineering, Marketing, Purchasing, etc.).
- Quality Assurance: Maintain a focus on quality, attention to detail, and use technical risk assessment tools (FMEA, DRBFM).
- DFMA Application: Utilize knowledge and experience in Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA).
- Project Management: Establish and deliver development test engineer tasks according to planned project milestones and scopes.
