An Associate Engineering Technician is needed for a leading global engineering, consulting and construction company in the Charlotte, NC area. This Associate Engineering Technician role requires a diploma or associate degree and at least 2 years of experience to support water infrastructure projects through site development and 3D modeling using Autodesk Civil 3D or Bentley MicroStation.

responsibilities:
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams within the Water & Industrial Water Market Sector.
- Support site development efforts including grading, drainage, erosion control, roadways, and fencing.
- Develop high-quality engineering deliverables for complex government and community infrastructure projects.
- Create and modify site plans using Autodesk Civil 3D and Bentley MicroStation.
- Manage specific Civil 3D elements such as alignments, pipe networks, plan/profiles, and sections.
- Develop proposed surfaces and perform grading design using digital modeling tools.
- Perform basic engineering computations, including dimensional checks and material quantity estimates.
- Coordinate deliverables across project groups to minimize errors and design interferences.
- Maintain technical documentation and drawings while ensuring adherence to document control practices.
- Apply company Quality Program standards to ensure all project outputs are accurate and compliant.
- Autodesk Civil 3D and/or Bentley MicroStation.
- Basic Civil 3D experience with knowledge of alignments, pipe networks, plan/profile, and sections.
- Basic Civil 3D experience with proposed grading and surfaces.
- Diploma or Certificate required.
- Associate Degree in Drafting or an Engineering Design Related Technology preferred.
- Typically a minimum of 2 years related work experience.
