An energy technology company is hiring a Process Control Engineer to lead structural analysis and new nuclear plant projects. This Lead Process Instrumentation Engineer role requires a Bachelor's in Engineering and several years of experience to develop technical datasheets and installation designs for BWRX-300 SMR nuclear systems while integrating field hardware with control systems. This is a 12 months contract.

responsibilities:
- Develop field instrumentation datasheets, instrument lists, and rack lists for the SMR design scope.
- Create technical specifications and detailed instrument installation drawings.
- Integrate field pipe-mount and rack-mounted instrumentation with control hardware systems.
- Define instrumentation modifications for nuclear plant systems including HVAC, ICS, and Nuclear Boiler Instrumentation.
- Support design efforts for Shutdown Cooling, Reactor Water Cleanup, Turbine Controls, and Fuel Pool Cooling.
- Collaborate with Technical Leads to develop innovative designs for the BWRX-300 Small Modular Reactor.
- Execute complex engineering projects across various lifecycle phases under senior guidance.
- Work with global cross-functional teams to ensure design consistency and integration.
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, electronics engineering, automation engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience, with strong understanding of electrical systems, P&IDs, process instrumentation, instrumentation rack assembly and configuration, automation technologies, and control systems.
