Growing manufacturer in the greater Cullman, AL area is seeking an entry level Controls Engineer to add to their team. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering and PLC/HMI/Robotic troubleshooting experience. Ability to read electrical schematics required, as well as the ability to update schematics using CAD software. At least 2 years of related work or school experience required, specifically seeking experience in automotive or machining. Experience will be considered instead of degree. Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update equipment control systems
- Perform new model launches, equipment installations and production support
- Update electrical schematics using CAD software
- Perform PLC and robotic troubleshooting
- Work on projects involving outside contractors at multiple locations for equipment modifications, installations and upgrades
- B.S. in Electrical, mechatronics engineering or similar
- Experience with industrial robotic integration (ABB, Fanuc, Omron, ABB), spot and MIG welding
- Experience with software including RSLogix 500/ RSLogix 5000/ Studio 5000/ FactoryTalkME, GT Designer, Step 7
- Mechanical aptitude and the ability to use hand tools including drills, wrenches and cutters
- Availability to travel occasionally, less than 10%
