A Technical Designer is needed for a multinational corporation that is involved in the design, development, manufacturing, and worldwide marketing and sales of athletic apparel, equipment, accessories, and services in the Beaverton, OR area. This role requires 5+ years of experience in high-performance knit pattern making to lead athlete-facing fit sessions and technical development for Women's Golf and Tennis apparel.

responsibilities:
- Providing full-time leave coverage for Women's Golf and secondary technical support for Tennis.
- Creating original garment patterns from scratch and performing complex adjustments to existing patterns.
- Utilizing deep technical knowledge of knit garment construction, with additional application for woven fabrics.
- Acting as a brand representative during athlete-facing fit sessions and functional performance testing.
- Developing performance-oriented designs for specialized categories including dresses, skirts, and outerwear.
- Managing digital record-keeping and technical specifications using PDM, PCX, or PLM web-based tools.
- Documenting detailed comments on pattern changes and construction modifications to ensure production accuracy.
- Evaluating the complexity of pattern designs to maintain the brand's high-performance standards.
- Collaborating with design teams to translate aesthetic concepts into functional, athletic-ready apparel.
- Ensuring all pattern adjustments meet the specific range-of-motion requirements for golf and tennis athletes.
- Role is potentially athlete facing, can do functional work and be representative the brand.
- Knowledge of garment construction for knits.
- knowledge of wovens could work as well, but knits is preferred.
