An Electrical Engineer is needed for an American multinational consumer goods corporation that produces many popular Beauty, Home Care, and Family care brands in the Greensboro, NC area. This role is responsible for leading the design, programming, and safety compliance of PLC/HMI systems and industrial networks within a high-voltage manufacturing and robotics environment.

responsibilities:
- Responsible for the development, innovation, and digitization of automated, robotic, and information systems (PC&IS).
- Designs and maintains Industrial Control Systems (ICS), PLCs (ControlLogix), and HMIs (FactoryTalk View, Wonderware).
- Manages and troubleshoots diverse industrial networks including EthernetIP, DeviceNet, ControlNet, DH+, and Remote I/O.
- Hands-on experience with power systems ranging from 480VAC 3-phase to low-voltage 24VDC and analog control circuits (4-20mA).
- Ensures strict adherence to safety standards including OSHA 1910, NFPA 70, 70E, and 79.
- Leads process improvements focused on material utilization, safety, cost reduction, and machine control optimization.
- Demonstrates the ability to read and interpret complex electrical schematics and instrumentation systems for process control.
- Collaborates across teams to lead manufacturing lines, robotics, and vision system integration.
- Utilizes IT/Networking knowledge and database applications, with a preference for Python, Java, or SQL programming.
- Provides strong leadership for project teams, managing engineering labor, schedules, and technical deliverables.
- Executes data entry, reporting, and documentation with a high degree of detail and accuracy.
- Ability to self-direct and show initiative with decision making and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, HMI development (e.g. FactorytalkView Studio, Wonderware), and PLC programming (e.g. ControlLogix) is an asset.
- Familiarity with IT/Networking and database applications.
- Ability to read electrical schematics.
- Understanding of instrumentation and measurement systems for Process Control.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Understanding of industrial environments, engineering and production processes.
- 3 or more years working in a manufacturing environment in a controls and automation discipline.
- 7-10 years of experience.
