An energy technology company is hiring a Structural Engineer to lead structural analysis and new nuclear plant projects. This role requires a Civil Engineering professional with a Bachelor's degree and mandatory proficiency in ANSYS APDL to perform advanced seismic and finite element analysis on concrete and steel structures within the nuclear power generation industry. This is a 12 months contract.

responsibilities:
- Perform advanced structural analysis of concrete and steel structures using finite element methods.
- Apply seismic engineering principles to support complex project needs in the nuclear power generation industry.
- Utilize specialized codes including ASCE 4, ASCE 7, ASCE 43, ACI 318, and ACI 349.
- Work with AISC N690, the Steel Construction Manual, and the Seismic Design Manual for structural steel and composite design.
- Adapt quickly to new tasks and solve problems in a dynamic, high-pressure work environment.
- Prioritize and plan work activities effectively to meet strict project deadlines.
- Maintain a strong commitment to organizational safety and quality standards.
- Collaborate with team members to foster a supportive and trust-based work environment.
- Proficiency in ANSYS APDL is required.
- Proficiency in Seismic structural analyses.
- Computer programing skills (e.g. Matlab, or Python) is not required, but preferred.
- Proficiency in concrete, steel and composite structures analysis and design.
- AISC/ N690 experience is a preferred.
- Bachelors Civil Engineering degree.
- P.E. (US candidates), P. Eng. (Canada candidates) certification preferred.
- Civil Engineering experience required.
