Engineering Manager-Direct hire,full time- Myrtle Beach, SC- Local client is seeking an experienced Engineering leader with prior experience with mechanical engineering projects and process improvement projects. Candidate must have prior leadership skills and experience from within a manufacturing environment. Client is offering a base salary, profit sharing bonuses and full benefits/401K. Relocation assistance offered to qualified candidates.

responsibilities:
- Develop project scopes, cost estimates, project schedules
- Oversee engineering projects related to compressed air systems, cooling water systems, and bridge crane systems
- Establish equipment layout for expansion and efficiency
- Establish and adhere to tight design schedules and cost budgets.
- Assist production engineers in troubleshooting day-to-day production problems and writing or modifying quality work instructions
- Management of about 6 Engineers and Engineering Department
- Bachelor's degree Mechanical Engineering
- 5 years experience in manufacturing
- Experience in improving process capability, process optimization and control
- Experience improving production workflows via manufacturing-focused training initiatives
- Management/leadership experience of engineers and hourly machine operators
- Direct Reports - 5 Engineers (Senior, Process, Mechanical)
