A Production Operator is needed for a technology company that designs and manufactures connectors and sensors for several industries, such as automotive, industrial equipment, data communication systems, and more, in the Grayslake, IL area. This role requires a mechanically inclined individual with a high school diploma to set up machinery, assemble parts, and use precision measurement tools while following blueprints and safety standards to ensure products meet quality specifications.

responsibilities:
- Produce products in a timely and efficient manner to meet customer needs.
- Set up and operate various machines and assemble parts as directed by the Cell Lead.
- Read and understand bills of materials (BOM) and technical blueprints or drawings.
- Communicate with the Cell Lead regarding any discrepancies found in drawings or BOMs.
- Collaborate with the Quality Department to conduct inspections during production.
- Verify that all products meet customer specifications and industry standards.
- Use air and power tools as needed to assist in the manufacturing process.
- Maintain productivity levels that meet or exceed established production standards.
- Follow all safety rules and implement safe working procedures.
- Keep tools and supplies in their appropriate locations and maintain a clean, organized work area.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
- High School diploma or an equivalent qualification.
- Basic computer knowledge and familiarity with Microsoft Excel.
- Demonstrated ability to read and understand technical blueprints and drawings.
- Proven mechanical aptitude.
- Knowledge of various equipment, including air and power tools.
- Experience using precision measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, rulers, tape measures, and gages.
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members and leadership.
- Capability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Commitment to maintaining a high standard of quality and safety in a production environment.
