Our client, an agile space company dedicated to US National Security is looking for a Senior Spacecraft Mechanica Engineer. Key qualifications include, 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in mechanical design, structural analysis,
and/or thermal design/analysis for spacecraft systems. A Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field is required

responsibilities:
- Advanced Structural Analysis: Perform high-fidelity static, dynamic, thermal, and fatigue analyses to ensure all spacecraft components survive launch and orbital environments.
- Mechanical Systems Leadership: Lead the end-to-end design and integration of mechanical subsystems, ensuring seamless compatibility with electrical and thermal hardware.
- Requirements Validation: Translate complex mission needs into technical engineering specifications and verify compliance through rigorous analysis and hardware testing.
- Material Science Optimization: Evaluate and select high-performance materials to balance structural durability, thermal stability, and critical mass/weight constraints.
- Environmental Testing & Verification: Design and oversee environmental test campaigns-including vibration, shock, and thermal vacuum (TVAC)-to validate design robustness.
