A Mechanical Engineer Senior is needed for a multinational manufacturing company that produces and distributes trucks, buses and construction equipment, as well as marine and industrial drive systems in the Hagerstown, MD area. This is a senior mechanical engineering role requiring extensive supplier management and root cause analysis skills to lead the design, integration, and quality assurance of complex technical solutions while mentoring junior staff.

responsibilities:
- Manage and collaborate with outside suppliers to meet project requirements and deliverables.
- Develop technical solutions for mechanical areas based on function, style, volume, geometry, cost, quality, and regulations.
- Lead and support mechanical development engineering activities within specific project scopes.
- Integrate multi-disciplinary deliveries and verify quality and readiness before final release.
- Ensure all designs fulfill business targets and technical requirements.
- Provide strategic input for product and system roadmaps.
- Participate in business development and innovation initiatives.
- Build and manage professional networks across the organization to influence project prerequisites.
- Act as a role model and mentor for junior team members and peers through coaching and training.
- Experience working with outside suppliers is a must, the company experience is strongly preferred (KOLA, PIL/PROTUS, Jira, ways of working, etc.),
- strong RCA skills required.
