An Electrical Technician is needed for a manufacturing company considered one of the world's leading innovators in materials science in the Wilmington, NC area. This role focuses on the electrical acquisition and logistics of large-scale manufacturing equipment, managing everything from vendor bidding and technical specifications to Factory Acceptance Testing and delivery scheduling.

responsibilities:
- Support electrical equipment acquisition for manufacturing upgrades and new green-field/brown-field installations.
- Establish detailed equipment specifications and requirements, including configuration and quantity.
- Provide technical support to Global Supply Management and vendors during the competitive bidding and RFQ process.
- Assist in vendor identification, selection, and the resolution of technical issues during the equipment build phase.
- Generate and manage equipment delivery timelines to be integrated into the master project schedule.
- Coordinate and lead Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) to ensure equipment meets performance standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Capital Deployment, Technology Platforms, and Cable Technology.
- Utilize AutoCAD, Vault, and Inventor to navigate and review technical designs and documentation.
- Identify and vet alternate sources for equipment components when primary specifications cannot be met.
- Use electrical tools for hands-on troubleshooting of manufacturing systems.
- Manage multiple concurrent tasks and projects with a focus on organizational efficiency and proactive problem-solving.
- MS Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Navigational ability in AutoCAD®, Vault, Inventor.
- Understand equipment specifications to find alternate source if necessary.
- Basic knowledge of using electrical tools for troubleshooting.
- Self-starter, able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Organizational aptitude (focused, effective, and efficiency-driven).
- Proactive problem solving - resolve challenges quickly.
- BS in Electrical Engineering or
- Associate degree.
- With 1 year of capital projects/acquisition experience.
