The right person will have 10+ years in Systems Engineering for complex products (Hardware/Software integration preferred) with Jama Connect and structured SE frameworks (CSEP/ESEP preferred) experience to coach teams to transition from "vague ideas" to high-quality needs and integrated requirement sets. This is a high-impact role designed to sustain and advance a major SE transformation during a leadership leave. This isn't a "process admin" job-it's a role for a technical authority who can bridge the gap between rigorous systems thinking and fast-paced product execution. responsibilities:
- Requirements Excellence: Coaching teams to transition from "vague ideas" to high-quality needs and integrated requirement sets.
- System-of-Systems Pilot: Defining boundaries and interfaces within a new, complex operating model.
- Jama Connect Implementation: Leading a focused pilot team to establish best-in-class traceability and hierarchy.
- Capability Building: Introducing practical tools (DSMs, value analysis, architecture diagramming) to an organization with varying SE maturity.
- Bachelor's in Engineering (Master's or SE Certification highly valued) with 12+ years in Systems Engineering for complex products (Hardware/Software integration preferred).
- You know what "good" looks like and can teach it clearly to teams at all levels.
- Experience with Jama Connect and structured SE frameworks (CSEP/ESEP preferred).
- Proven success implementing SE practices in "low-to-moderate" maturity environments.
- Ability to balance INCOSE-level rigor with the speed required for modern product development.
- Must be able to drive alignment across engineering and product leadership without needing formal authority.
