Manufacturer in Westlake, OH is seeking a Field Metallurgical Technologist to serve as a Sales Support Engineer. The ideal candidate will have a minimum AS degree in Metallurgy, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering or similar. Microscopy and sample preparation experience highly desired, as well as excellent communication and presentation skills for customer interface. Previous lab experience required, as well as 2+ years of industry experience. Ability to travel 30% to customers in U.S. and Canada.

responsibilities:
- Provide technical and sales support to the sales team for potential and existing customers
- Travel to customer sites to conduct technical support and do presentations; conduct trainings on equipment
- Assist customers to resolve quality issues
- Create content for virtual and on site trainings and demonstrations
- Minimum AS in Material Science, Metallurgy or Mechanical Engineering, B.S. or higher preferred
- Ability to travel 30%
- Knowledge of metallography/ microscopy
- Lab experience required
- Excellent communication and product demonstration skills
- Familiarity with ISO and ASTM standards
