Manufacturing Engineer for a leading innovative manufacturer based near Birmingham, AL. This role will focus on improving manufacturing efficiency, standardization, and material flow within Final Assembly and warehousing operations. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience in process optimization, time studies, and engineering change management in a fast-paced production environment.

responsibilities:
- Focus on improving manufacturing efficiency, standardization, and material flow within Final Assembly and warehousing operations
- Optimizing production processes, improving efficiency and throughput, supporting new product introduction, and driving continuous improvement initiatives on the shop floor
- Develop, document, and implement standard work instructions for Final Assembly processes
- Conduct detailed time studies to establish accurate labor standards and identify process improvement opportunities.
- Streamline ECO and revision control processes
- Improve warehouse/supermarket layout and material flow efficiency
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience creating standard work instructions and conducting time studies
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles (5S, Kaizen, continuous improvement)
- Experience with warehouse/material flow optimization
- Familiarity with Engineering Change Orders (ECO) processes and document revision control
- Experience in high-volume or automotive manufacturing environments
- Six Sigma or Lean certification (Green Belt or higher preferred)
