Industry leading producer seeks a proactive and technically-minded EHS Engineer to lead the health and safety initiatives throughout the facility. In this role, you will serve as the primary architect of a "Safety First" culture, bridging the gap between complex industrial processes and rigorous standards. The position will focus on safety, with the ability to move into other areas of EH&S if desired. responsibilities:
- Lead risk assessments and audits of existing and new manufacturing processes to identify and mitigate potential hazards
- Collaborate with various teams to implement "Safety by Design" principles, ensuring that new equipment installations and process modifications include robust fail-safes, guarding, and ergonomic optimizations
- Lead the technical investigation of all near-misses and incidents using methodologies such as 5-Why or Fishbone analysis to identify systemic failures and implement permanent corrective actions
- Serve as the subject matter expert for OSHA, EPA, and state-specific safety regulations, managing all reporting, permitting, and documentation to ensure the facility remains in 100% compliance
- Develop and deliver high-impact safety training programs tailored to specific industrial risks, while coaching floor teams to foster a proactive, peer-to-peer safety culture
- BS Occupational Health and Safety, or similar; related experience to be considered
