A Construction Project Engineer is needed for a leading manufacturing organization outside of Tupelo, MS. The Construction Project Engineer is responsible for executing and managing modifications, structural upgrades, and airflow improvements within the manufacturing facility. In this role, you will oversee commercial construction projects from initial feasibility to final installation, ensuring total safety compliance.
Candidates must have at least 3+ years of commercial construction project management experience. Proficiency in AutoCAD and managing projects valued at $500K+ is required. This position is 100% onsite with up to 20% overtime required for weekend and shutdown support. Our client is only seeking local talent currently.

responsibilities:
- Investigate project feasibility, scope, schedule, and budget for large-scale facility and manufacturing process modifications
- Create scopes of work, bid packages, and project specifications while leading contractor negotiations
- Review and modify technical drawings in AutoCAD, providing critical feedback to cross-functional teams
- Supervise and coordinate third-party contractors and skilled trades within green-field or brown-field environments
- Evaluate safety compliance against local and national codes in collaboration with safety contractors
- Troubleshoot project delays and develop immediate countermeasures to ensure timely milestone completion
