Our client, a local civil construction company who has serviced the local area for over 50 years is seeking a detail-oriented Civil Estimator with 3+ years of experience to join their team. Specializing in civil site work, you will play a vital role in our projects by analyzing blueprints, performing precise quantity takeoffs (Earthworks, Roadways, Drainage, and Utilities), evaluating subcontractor bids, and assembling winning proposals.

responsibilities:
- Review blueprints, technical specifications, and other project documentation to understand the full scope of work
- Accurately measure and quantify the amount of materials, labor, and equipment needed to complete the Earthworks, Roadways, Drainage, and Utilities
- Collect and compare quotes from subcontractors and suppliers
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to develop bid strategies, present findings, and make recommendations for cost-saving measures
- Assemble all gathered data into a comprehensive and well-organized cost estimate and bid proposal for clients or bidding competitions
- 3+ Years of proven experience in construction and Estimating
- Understanding of construction methods, materials, and processes, within civil site work
- Competency with industry-standard estimating and takeoff software, such as B2W Estimate, Agtek Gradework, Planswift, & Office Suite
