Our client, a leader in medical device manufacturing, is looking for an experienced supplier quality engineer. Key qualifications include an 8+ year background in engineering, such as PCBs or injection molding, along with expertise in core quality methodologies like APQP, PPAP, failure analysis (PFMEA), and supplier auditing. A Bachelor's degree in engineering is required for this role.

responsibilities:
- Supplier Selection & Lifecycle Management: Facilitates technical capability assessments of new suppliers, assists with updates to the Approved Supplier List, and contributes to the Supplier Project Book to establish clear quality expectations.
- Core Quality Tools & Documentation: Reviews and executes critical quality methodologies including DFMAT, MSA, PFMEA, Control Plans, SPC, FAI, and PV&V to ensure robust manufacturing processes.
- NPI & Design Collaboration: Drives the APQP process for New Product Introduction, facilitating collaboration between R&D and suppliers through DfX (Design for Excellence) initiatives.
- Requirements & Part Approval: Ensures Critical to Quality (CtQ) characteristics are maintained by the supplier and manages all deliverables for the Part Submission Warrant and production line releases.
- Performance & Corrective Action: Supports end-to-end supplier performance management, analyzes defects to determine root causes, acts as an independent reviewer for SCARs, and leads supplier improvement initiatives.
