Seeking a Proposal Manager - Defense for a high growth DoW contractor in the Melbourne, FL area.
The Proposal Manager would be responsible for the proposal process, preparing the actual proposals and submitting them to Customers in accordance with company policy. You will often work on tight deadlines and have to delegate tasks required to complete a proposal, such as technical writing, research, editing and other efforts associated with the process. Engineering degree/experience, government procurement, capture, proposal management is required.

responsibilities:
- End-to-End Oversight: Manage the entire proposal process, including pre-RFP planning, solutioning, writing, final publication, and submission in accordance with established capture processes.
- Compliance & Quality: Ensure all submissions are compliant, responsive to RFP instructions, and reflect top-tier professional standards.
- Project Planning: Develop comprehensive Proposal Development Plans, including schedules, compliance matrices, outlines, and volume structures based on RFP requirements.
- Content Migration: Synthesize and integrate early-stage capture and pursuit information into actionable proposal strategies.
- RFP Clarifications: Coordinate the RFP review process and manage the submission of client questions and clarifications through Contracts.
- Team Mobilization: Organize proposal teams by defining roles, responsibilities, and assignments; facilitate project kickoff meetings.
- Resource Management: Secure necessary facilities, tools, and support from functional cross-functional organizations.
- Staff Supervision: Direct proposal department staff, specialized personnel (e.g., Document Specialists, Graphic Artists), and external support teams.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Capture, Program, and Technical Leads to align proposal win themes and solutions.
- Training & Development: Conduct on-the-job training for proposal team members to ensure process consistency and quality.
