This role will focus on estimating, takeoffs, subcontractor coordination, and preconstruction support for projects including municipal buildings, libraries, fire stations, warehouses, and other commercial facilities.
The team is open to candidates from both GC and commercial subcontractor backgrounds, as well as Project Managers or field professionals looking to transition into estimating. responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate cost estimates for commercial, municipal, and federal construction projects by reviewing drawings, performing quantity takeoffs, and soliciting subcontractor/vendor pricing.
- Independently manage multiple bids (typically up to three at a time), ranging from approximately $2M-$10M+, while collaborating on larger pursuits.
- Coordinate with project teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and operations to develop competitive proposals, budgets, and value engineering solutions.
- Support projects including municipal buildings, libraries, fire stations, warehouses, and other commercial facilities while helping expand the company's commercial market presence.
- Work within a collaborative, tight-knit preconstruction team to strategically pursue qualified opportunities and deliver winning bids.
- 3+ years of commercial construction estimating experience on commercial building projects (municipal, office, warehouse, institutional, etc.), with the ability to independently manage bids valued at $2M+ (ideal experience up to $10M).
- Commercial construction background, whether from estimating, project management, field operations, subcontracting, or civil construction; Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
- Seeking a long-term team member with communication skills, the ability to work in a collaborative environment, and a willingness to learn and grow as the company expands.
